‘The Clare Valley’ Riesling

‘The Clare Valley’ Riesling

For the 2024 'The Clare Valley Riesling' we source from select vineyards within the Clare Valley. These sites have slightly different characteristics which, when blended, give rise to a nice complexity and purity. The wine is clarified and fermented in stainless steel at a nice cool temperature to ensure a lovely long, even ferment. The wine is then left on yeast lees, and stirred often over 4 months to build texture on the palate.

Floral and refreshing, blossom and lime zest dominate the palate. The wine is crisp and dry with a beautiful zing of grapefruit like acidity. Pair this with a couple of dozen natural oysters.

Convivial dried and fresh flowers, baked apples and white stone fruits embrace the linear acid drive and subtle toasty texture. Steely and salty on the finish.
GOLD MEDAL - 95 POINTS – DECANTER WORLD WINE AWARDS 2026

Hidden away in Mount Lofty Ranges in South Australia is the breathtaking Clare Valley.

Riesling reigns supreme here and the region’s classic, dry style is widely recognised as world-class.

Clare Rieslings retain acidity due to cool evening temperatures, while still exhibiting aromas of lime and citrus marmalade with age.

Behind the Label

The RockBare labels pay homage to the land from where our vineyards stand today. The eclectic illustrations by Craig McGill and Susan Elliott tell a story of local regional landmarks, the history of winemaking in South Australia, and local fauna. They are playfully curious, extravagant, and thoughtful.
